Welcome to Tree Biology

This course is intended to introduce you to basic concepts of the physiology of plants relating to trees and forest systems. I will emphasize interactions between trees and their physical and biological environments. Where appropriate, we will look at the use and impact of chemical and bio- technologies. I have laid out the semester in two halves. The first half is an introduction the basic concepts in physiology. The second half uses this basic information develop the larger ideas of how trees and forests interact with their environment and with other organisms.

All reading pages, lecture schedules, grades and homework assignments will be posted on LON-CAPA.
