UW-Stevens Point racked up four pins to roll past Lawrence for a 38-6 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference wrestling dual meet victory on Tuesday in Appleton.

Three of the Pointers' pins came in the first period. Jake Calhoun at 125 pounds, Kyle Mueller at 141 pounds and Tyler Wozniak at 197 pounds all finished their matches in the first three minutes. Jered Kern added a six-point victory at 133 pounds on a pin with 33 seconds left in the match.

The Pointers also had two major decision wins with Jake Wozniak recording a 12-4 win at 157 pounds and Craig Bollig earning a 14-2 decision at 184 pounds. Chris Karl added a win at 165 points and Bret Oswald was a winner at heavyweight.

UW-Stevens Point, ranked 21st in the NCAA Division III, is now 10-7-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Lawrence fell to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the WIAC. The Pointers travel to 15th-ranked UW-Whitewater on Thursday.
