Head Coach Ann Ninnemann

Picture (900x1315, 333.3Kb)     UW-Stevens Point's first All-American player and the school's all-time assists leader, Ann Ninnemann, takes over as the program's third head coach on an interim basis during the 2006-07 season.

Ninnemann, who played in every game for the Pointers from 2001-05, spent one season as an assistant coach during the Pointers' third place national finish in 2005-06. She succeeds Brian Idalski, who coached five seasons with the Pointers.

Ninnemann was an All-American in 2001-02 and captained the Pointers for three straight seasons from 2002-05. She totaled 55 goals and 69 assists for 124 points while ranking second all-time in goals and points.

Ninnemann actively recruited many of the Pointers incoming freshmen and worked closely with the 2005-06 freshman class that made major contributions to the teams run to the frozen four.

She will also serve as an assistant softball coach at UW-Stevens Point in the spring. Ninnemann assisted with the Stevens Point Area Senior High softball team that finished 23-1 last season and qualified for the WIAA state tournament.

Coach Ninnemann can be contacted at aninnema@uwsp.edu
