Becky Pepper made the most of her first start
of the season, scoring a team-high 12 points as the UW-Stevens Point
womens basketball team used another balanced performance to roll to an
87-53 win at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday.
Pepper, starting in place of Laura Neuenfeldt,
was four-for-six from the field, made both three-point field goal
attempts and had four steals in the Pointers triumph. Chelsea Kranz
added 10 points, while Jessie Sporle had a solid all-around game with 10
points, nine rebounds and five assists.

minutes of the game, shot a blistering 61.3 percent from the field,
including 68 percent in the second half by hitting 17 of 25 field goal

with a 12-0 run, forcing turnovers on five straight MSOE possessions
during the spurt to build a 23-9 lead with 11:19 left in the first half.
A Raiders free throw cut the lead to 13 points, but Camille Brueggen
followed with an offensive rebound basket and MSOE came no closer the
rest of the way.

a three-pointer to open the second half as UW-Stevens Point led by at
least 25 points throughout the second period. The Pointers held a
