Head Coach Stacey White

Head Coach Stacey WhiteStacey White continues her building of the UW-Stevens Point volleyball program in her sixth season with the Pointers in 2006.

White led the Pointers to their highest victory totals since 1998 during the past two years, finishing 16-19 in 2005 and 21-14 in 2004. Included in the 2005 campaign was a win over then third-ranked and eventual Elite Eight participant New York University.

After winning eight matches in each of her first two seasons, White guided a young Pointer squad to an 11-23 mark in 2003 before their 21 victories in 2004. White enters the season with a 64-101 career record as she looks to achieve the success she experienced in her playing days.

White played at UW-River Falls from 1993-97 and has plenty of experience in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and junior Olympic volleyball ranks. She was a member of UW-River Falls' 1996 WIAC championship team.

White, a Monticello, Minn. native, was the head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach at Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn. prior to coming to UW-Stevens Point. She graduated from UW-River Falls in 1998 with a degree in Health and Human Performance and added a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota while coaching at Concordia.

White has coached two junior Olympic squads, leading the 18-and-under St. Croix Valley team and the 16-and-under Club Tonka squad in Minnetonka, Minn.

She was a track and field standout at UW-River Falls, qualifying for the NCAA Division III outdoor championships in both the shot put and discus as a senior.
