Maus Selected
to First-Team All-Region Squad
UW-Stevens Point junior middle hitter Shelly
Maus has been selected to the first-team all-Midwest Region volleyball
squad after leading the Pointers a fourth place finish in the Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Maus, who also earned first-team all-WIAC laurels, was selected in one
of the strongest regions in the NCAA Division III with four top
10-ranked teams. Maus was among seven middle hitters named to the
12-member first team.
Maus, who attended Green Bay Southwest High
School, led the WIAC and ranked fifth in the NCAA Division III with 207
blocks for an average of 1.64 per game. She was also third in the league
with a .354 hitting percentage and ranked eighth in the conference with
440 kills. Maus became just the fourth player in school history to reach
1,000 career kills and currently ranks second on the school�s all-time
list with 1,211 over her three seasons. |
