     All three five-game matches were decided by two points as the Pointers lost to Dubuque 30-19, 30-27, 28-30, 22-30, 16-14 and Viterbo 30-21, 27-30, 32-30, 18-30, 18-16. After beating Hamline 31-33, 30-26, 30-28, 30-17, the Pointers edged Illinois Wesleyan 30-28, 24-30, 28-30, 30-26, 15-13.

Shelly Maus had a big weekend for the Pointers, earning all-tournament honors with 72 kills and 27 blocks in the four matches. She had 19 kills in the matches against Hamline and Viterbo, while adding 18 kills and 12 blocks in the win over Illinois Wesleyan. She had 21 hitting errors and hit .345 for the tournament.

Kate Banser also had a strong weekend with 53 kills over the four matches, including 16 kills with just two errors against Illinois Wesleyan. Toni Johnson had 166 assists with 48 against both Viterbo and Hamline.

The Pointers play Wednesday at UW-Platteville and need a victory to clinch a spot in the upcoming Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
