Maus, Marten Earn Accolades on All-WIAC Volleyball Team
UW-Stevens Point sophomore libero Lori Marten and freshman middle
hitter Shelly Maus both earned honors on the All-Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball squad.
Marten was named to the four-member All-Defensive team, while Maus
earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
Marten, a Pittsville native, shattered the single-season school
record for digs, while leading the WIAC with 5.37 per game. Her 676 digs
were 153 more than any other player in school history. She also was one
of the team�s top serve receivers.
Maus, a Green Bay Southwest High School graduate, led the team and
ranked seventh in the WIAC with a .310 hitting percentage. She led all
WIAC freshmen with 375 kills and was second in the league among freshmen
with 114 total blocks. |
