Lead Track Teams to Third Place Effort

Women's Results
UW-Stevens Point had four men�s champions and
two women�s winners as both track and field teams placed third of 10
teams at Saturday�s UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
UW-Stevens Point�s women�s team had 103 points
to trail first place UW-Eau Claire, which had 157 points. The men�s team
totaled 140 points as UW-Eau Claire won the meet with 166 points.
The Pointers had two individual champions in
field events that also earned provisional marks for the NCAA Division
III championships. Beth Richter won the women�s long jump at 17 feet,
10.25 inches and Kyle Steiner captured the men�s high jump at six feet,
seven inches. The men�s distance medley relay team had a provisional
time with their second place finish of 10:04.53.
UW-Stevens Point�s women�s 1600-meter relay
team of Andrea Irvine, Laura Simonis, Kathleen Folbrecht and Danielle
Kinderman posted a winning time of 4:03.11.
The men had three other champions with Phil
Richert taking the mile in 4:21.53, Ryan Schroeder claiming the
400-meter dash in 50.19 seconds and Adam Baumann winning the 60-meter
hurdles in 8.48 seconds. |
