Pointers Post Five Provisional Times at North Central

     UW-Stevens Point posted five NCAA Division III provisional qualifying marks at Friday�s Dr. Keeler Track and Field Invitational in Naperville, Ill.

     Jenna Mitchler had one of the nation�s top 800-meter run times this season with a mark of 2:12.17 to finish seventh among a speedy field of 45 competitors.

     Teresa Stanley also had a strong time in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing third overall with a time of 10:59.10.

     Also, Megan Craig had a provisional mark while finishing seventh in the 1500-meter run in 4:39.97 and the 1600-meter relay team of Marie Burrows, Andrea Irvine, Jamie Scott and Laura Simonis was ninth with a mark of 3:57.93, though neither bettered their previous times this year.

     The men�s 1600-meter relay team earned a solid provisional time of 3:14.46 as the team of Brad Koback, Ryan Schroeder, Pat Leonard and Jeremie Schwartz was second overall, giving the Pointers two sets of national-qualifying teams in the event.

     Nick Ver Duin added a third place finish in the 200-meter dash, narrowly missing a provisional time with a mark of 22.09 seconds.
