Karlyn Jakusz
begins her third season as the UW-Stevens
Point head women's tennis coach during the 2006 season.
The Stevens Point native guided the Pointers to a
sixth place finish in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
during each of her first two seasons.
Jakusz was an assistant coach with the Pointers during the 2003 campaign
and replaced 18-year coach Nancy Page.
Jakusz
is a part-time athletics staff
member, but is employed on campus as the Telemanagement Administrator in
the UW-Stevens Point Telephone Support Office. She is a Stevens Point
Area Senior High and UW-Madison graduate.
Jakusz has helped coach local high school teams and spent four years as
the United States Tennis Association coordinator for the North Central
League.
