Baseball - Position Player

Steve Wiczek (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) - The senior designated hitter had seven hits in the Pointers doubleheader sweep of UW-Superior on Sunday. Wiczek went three-for-four with a home run in the first game, and went four-for-six with four runs scored in the nightcap. He also launched a two-run homer in the first inning of Saturday's 6-0 win against the Yellowjackets. For the week, Wiczek hit .523 (11-for-21) with seven runs scored and seven runs batted in. He connected on two home runs and sacrifice fly while upping his season batting average to .471.

Baseball - Pitcher

J.C. Reinke (Bonduel, WI/Bonduel) - The sophomore lefthander fired his first career shutout in the Pointers' 6-0 blanking of UW-Superior on Saturday. Reinke scattered seven hits in his third complete game in eight starts this season. Reinke struck out six and walked none, while setting down the final 18 Yellowjacket batters in order.

Men's Track Events

Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team - Cory Christnovich (SR, Neenah, WI/Neenah), Jon Fenrick (SO, Campbellsport, WI/Campbellsport), Blaine Vander Wielen (FR, Neenah, WI/Neenah) and Cory Baumann (FR, Marathon, WI/Marathon) teamed to place third in the open division at the Drake Relays against some of Division I's best teams. The Pointers qualified for the final with a time of 1:02.00 and improved to 1:01.74 in the finals.

Men's Field Events

Ryan Shepard (Cornell, WI/Cornell) - The junior placed third in the high jump at the Loras Open in Dubuque, Iowa. Shepard cleared 1.93 meters (6' 4''), just two inches behind the leader.

Women's Track Events

Erin Koerner (Shorewood, WI/Shorewood) - The junior runner placed had a strong showing at the UW-La Crosse Classic. Koerner placed fourth in the 5,000 meter run, behind a pair of Division II runners. Koerner clocked in with a time of 19:36.21.

Women's Field Events

Jessie Beaulieu (Eau Claire, WI/North) - The senior thrower placed in two events at the UW-La Crosse Classic on Saturday. Beaulieu had the top hammer throw among Division III athletes, finishing second overall with a toss of 44.50 meters (146'). She also picked up team points in the discus, placing seventh with a throw of 35.24 meters (115' 7'').
