Jon Jagler (Wausau, WI/West) � The
junior went three-for-six and drove in four of the Pointers' six runs in a
doubleheader loss to UW-Oshkosh. Jagler hit a three-run homer in the 11-5
opening game loss and added a sacrifice fly in the first inning of a 2-1
second game loss.
Baseball
� Pitcher
Bill Verbrick (Appleton, WI/Xavier)
� The
junior right-hander pitched eight strong innings, allowing seven hits and
two runs in a 2-1 loss to UW-Oshkosh. Verbrick struck out three and issued
his first two walks of the season, snapping a string of 29 1/3 innings to
open the season without a base on balls.
Softball
Karen Guckenberger (South
Milwaukee, WI/South Milwaukee) � The sophomore pitched 24 innings with a 0.00 ERA to
extend her streak to 37 2/3 consecutive innings without allowing an earned
run. Appeared in five games and had 25 strikeouts, two walks and 14 hits
allowed in 24 innings. Included were two victories over 18th ranked
University of Chicago. She also lost to UW-Whitewater and Winona State,
despite not allowing an earned run in either game.

Track Events
Eric Miller (Green Bay, WI) � The
junior won the 200 meters at the North Central College Invitational in
Naperville, IL. Miller won the event in a time of :21.64. Miller also
anchored both the winning 4 x 400-meter relay team and the second place 4 x
100-meter relay team.
Men�s
Field Events
Aaron Carley (Lodi, WI/Lodi) � The
freshman won the long jump at the North Central College Invitational. Carley
cleared 6.75 meters (22� 1.75��).
Women�s
Track Events
Leah Juno (Brillion, WI/Brillion) � The
senior won the 800-meter run at the North Central College Invitational,
turning in the top time in the country in the event this season. Juno�s
time of 2:12.29 also automatically qualified her for the NCAA III
Championships. Juno was also a member of the Pointers� fourth place 4 x
400-meter relay team.
Women�s
Field Events
Jenny Todd (Wisconsin Rapids,
WI/Lincoln) � The sophomore set a new school record in the long jump, with
a leap of 5.74 meters (18� 10��). Todd placed second in the event at
the North Central College Invitational and automatically qualified for the
NCAA III Championships. Todd also placed second in the 200 meters (:25.98)
and was part of the second place 4 x 100-meter relay team.
