Players of the Week � Apr. 2

Baseball � Position Player

Sam Molski (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) � The senior clubbed three home runs in four games as the Pointers swept a pair of doubleheaders over Marian College and Northland College. Molski hit a game-winning two run home run in the fifth inning in the first game over Marian, a 5-3 Pointer victory. He also hit a two run home run in the second game against Marian and a solo shot in the first game against Northland.

Baseball � Pitcher

Jason Kozelek (Waterford, WI/Catholic Central) � The sophomore starter improved to 2-1 on the season with a win over Northland College. Kozelek took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and finished the game allowing one hit, one run while striking out four.

Softball

Nicole Alexander (Dodgeville, WI/Dodgeville) � The freshman shortstop hit a grand slam and a three run home run in the same game to lead the Pointers to a 13-4 win over Concordia University of Wisconsin.  She finished the game three-for-four with eight RBI�s. The Pointers also won the first game of the doubleheader 12-0.

Men�s Track Events

Craig Gunderson (Waupaca, WI) � The junior won the 800 meter run at the Coldman Invitational in Stevens Point. Gunderson beat the field in a time of 1:57.97 to help the Pointers win the meet with 289 points.

Men�s Field Events

Noah Eschenbauch (Rosholt, WI) � The sophomore won two events and placed second in another to lead the Pointers to the title in the Coldman Invitational in Stevens Point. Eschenbauch won the hammer throw by over nine feet with a toss of 54.70 meters (179� 5��) as the Pointers swept the top four places. He also won the shot put with a throw of 15.56 meters (51� 0.75��). Eschenbauch placed second in the discus behind teammate Luke Hilgers with a throw of 45.40 meters (148� 11��).

Women�s Track Events

Becky Lebak (Burlington, WI) � The junior automatically qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the first outdoor meet of the season. Lebak ran 36:53.60 in the 10,000 meter run, winning the race by over two minutes and leading a Pointer sweep of the first four positions at the Coldman Invitational at Stevens Point. The Pointers won the meet with 215 points.

Women�s Field Events

Stephanie Renk (Glenbeulah, WI) � The freshman placed sixth in the long jump at the Coldman Invitational in Stevens Point. Renk jumped 4.95 meters (16� 3��). Renk also had a great day on the track, winning the 400-meter low hurdles in 1:14.23 and placing fifth in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 17.89.
