Championship Season
Fans of
the UW-Stevens Point men�s basketball team can commemorate this past
season�s second straight NCAA Division III championship through books that
have been published chronicling the success of the past year.
Top
Dawgs: UW-Stevens Point�s 2004-2005 National Championship Season is
available by calling 1-800-697-3756. The hardcover book will also be
available at area bookstores, including the University Bookstore, as well as
Point County Market and the Stevens Point Journal. UW-Stevens Point alums

Book
signings with Pointers� head coach Jack Bennett and the team�s five seniors
will be held on Wed., May 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Pagliacci�s inside the Sentry
Insurance building and on Sat., May 7 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Point County
Market.
The book
includes over 100 full-color photos from the preseason exhibition at
Marquette all the way through the national championship game against
Rochester. The foreword was written by Dick Bennett with the introduction by
Terry Porter.
The
11-by-8.5� 128-page book is officially licensed and endorsed by UW-Stevens
Point and costs $24.95 with a portion of proceeds going to the men�s
basketball program.
Also,
John Johnson has written a second edition to his book A Championship is a
Journey. The new chapter is entitled �The Ultimate Journey� and features
photos and interviews with Pointer players and coaches from the past two
seasons.
