WHITEWATER - The University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point men's baseball team saw it's season come to an end
with a 5-3 loss to UW-Oshkosh at Prucha Field Sunday.
The decision was the second consecutive loss to the Titans in the WIAC
Tournament by the Pointers, who finish the season with an overall mark of
25-16.
The Titans (35-8) took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the third inning on a
three-run double by Josh Shere, and would lead the rest of the way.
UWSP first baseman Matt Peetz finished the game batting 3-for-4 with two
RBIs and a run scored, while third baseman Matt Peterson was 3-for-4.
Aaron Achterberg took the loss, striking out six in six and two-thirds
innings. |
