WIAC Womens Soccer Semifinals Oct. 29, 1999 UW-Stevens Point 2, UW-Eau Claire 0 Marie Muhvic scored two first half goals to lead the UW-Stevens Point womens soccer team to a 2-0 victory over UW-Eau Claire Friday in Stevens Point and a berth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship game for the eighth straight year. The two-time defending champion Pointers outshot the Blugolds 7-4 and held UW-Eau Claire without a shot for the first 37:35 of the match. UW-Stevens Point is 20-1 all-time in WIAC tournament games and 16-3 overall this season, having allowed just three goals in its last 13 matches. Muhvic scored her first goal on a header off a cross by Jennifer Davis at 27:04 of the first half. She added her second goal on a similar play with an assist by Molly Cady at 43:01. Muhvic now has five goals in two WIAC tournament games this season and 21 for the season, tying her single-season school record from last season. Davis assist gave her 46 for her career, surpassing Susie Lindauer as the schools all-time career leader. UW-Eau Claire finished the season 12-8-1.
