The Department of Art & Design’s mission is to inspire in our students a passion for the visual arts, and to establish an environment for creative research. To that end, the department fosters:

Skills in critical thinking and creative problem-solving
Preparation as self-sufficient visual arts professionals
Engagement in intellectual, cultural, and community activities
