Susan Morrison comes to UWSP from a range of experiences in various
colleges and universities nationally. Her teaching has focused on the Foundation courses: Two Dimensional Design, Three Dimensional Design and Drawing. As Foundation Coordinator at UWSP, Professor Morrison is responsible for developing curriculum at the foundation level. She finds the sense of germination and growth in the beginning student to be an exciting arena.

Her own work develops from her personal experiences: the confluence of emotions and energy that create our lives. Sometimes narrative in a figurative style, sometimes referential to landscape, often abstracted from these sources, the work always comes from life. She finds the physical nature of the paint, the act of painting and the scale create a dialogue. The conversation is at once personal and universal.
