| Caren Heft is the Director
of the Edna Carlsten Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point. Prior to that, she was the Associate Curator of the Charles
A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts in Racine, Wisconsin. Heft makes
letterpress books and has work in the following collections: The
Museum of Modern Art, New York; New York Public Library; National
Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; the Getty Center
for the History of Art and the Humanities, Santa Monica, California;
The Boston Museum of Fine Art, Massachusetts; Bibliotheque Nationale
de France, Paris; La Bibliotecca Nazionale Centrale, Florence,
Italy; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Good Street
Baptist Church, Dallas, among others.
At the Wustum Museum, in additional to her
curatorial duties, Heft was responsible for the Victory in Peace
Project, in which inner city children produced letterpress books.
Those books are in university collections across the country
(from Berkeley to Brown University).
