Paradise in the Smallest Things, text by Alan Govenar, 1988

Letterpress, copier print and rubber stamp on mould made papers, concertina binding; edition 75; 8 3/4” x 5 1/2” x 1/2” closed. The book came about because Govenar and I share an interest in tattoo. When I found his book on Stoney St. Clair, a carnival tattooist, and called Alan, he sent photographs of tattooed women who displayed their bodies on the carnival midway in the 1910s and 1920s. The writings are poems. The reader is to find his/her own connections. Title page. Out of print.
