The Life and Poems of Osceola Mays, text by Alan Govenar, 1989 Letterpress

of Osceola Mays reciting her poems and singing spirituals; edition 75;
7 1/2” x 5 x 2”, case, closed. This book is the memoir of
an octogenarian African American East Texas woman, who, as a girl, made
up poems. The book tells us about growing up black and poor in East Texas.
