About
Diana Black is an artist, designer and educator. She is an Associate Professor of graphic design in the Department of Art & Design and is the director of Design Center. Diana came to UWSP in 2002 after several years at Minnesota State University, Mankato, teaching graphic and interactive design.
As a designer Diana has worked in print and publication design and produced award-winning pieces. She has also worked as a display designer and sign designer. Diana continues to work as a graphic designer and has special interest in new media and web design. Her creative research investigates social constructions of identity and culture, and the intersections of art and technology. She has published articles and presented at conferences. Her artwork has been exhibited regionally and nationally and is included in a number of private and public collections.
