Currently teaching: ART 311 Intermediate Graphic Design
At UW-Stevens Point we have five instructors teaching graphic design. The Graphic Design faculty work together to teach our students. We all teach at all levels and regularly assess and refine our curriculum. Courses I have taught include: Two-Dimensional Design, Basic Letterform, Basic Graphic Design, Visual Design for the Screen, Typography, Image Use in Graphic Design, Intermediate Graphic Design, Graphic Design History, Advanced Visual Design for the Screen, Graphic Design Processes, Senior Portfolio. Art & Design course catalog here.
We also offer Special Topics courses that investigate specific areas in design. Several years ago I developed and taught Digital Motion, an intensive exploration of time-based work for the screen.
I have taught Flash animation for our Summer Studio Arts program for high school students and through the Wisconsin Learning Center and our Continuing Education division I have taught web design courses for the community.
In my ancient past I taught Interactive Design --using Director-- at Minnesota State University-Mankato.
