• UWSP Career Services: The Career Services Office home page includes information on internships, on-campus interviews, graduate schools, employment vacancies, and a lot more.
• Academic Advising Resources on the Internet: This is rated as one of the top sites on the Internet as it has the most comprehensive collection of information for advisers. This site includes information on: academic and career counseling; innovative uses of the Internet; financial aid information; study abroad; study skills and learning assistance; special populations; advising guides and manuals; business, law, and health professions; graduate school information; higher education and technology; jobs in higher education; mailing lists and discussion groups; testing services and test preparation.
• National Academic Advising Association (NACADA): This is the National Academic Advising Association's home page. NACADA members include professional advisers/counselors, faculty, administrators, and students whose responsibilities include academic advising. The NACADA page offers advising resources and professional development opportunities.
• The National Clearinghouse for Academic Advising: This page provides a list of publications on: Advising Special Student Populations; Award Winning NACADA Programs; Community College Advising; Ethical Issues; Evaluation and Assessment; Freshman Advising Issues; and Retention Issues.
• The Mentor: An Academic Advising Journal: a free electronic publication about academic advising in higher education. The goal of this journal (available only on the Web) is to provide a mechanism for the rapid dissemination of new ideas about advising and for ongoing discourse about advising issues. Toward this goal, articles in the journal are published continuously in a current issue in progress.43028
