Organizations
Pointers have developed a reputation as one of the most
involved and connected student bodies in the Midwest. With
over 180 active student organizations and a campus culture
that promotes involvement, it's easy to explore your areas
of interest, as well as experience those you may just be
curious about!

Student Government Association (SGA), the organization that
serves as a collective student voice regarding important university-wide
issues.

Centertainment Productions is a student-run organization
that sponsors and organizes many of the events that take place on
campus, such as visiting comedians and lecturers, movie showings,
concerts, and spring break trips.
- You do not need to be a music major to participate in any one of our
outstanding
music ensembles.

Volunteerism
Volunteering is a great way to make a difference in the
community, gain valuable experience and make friends!

Leadership
Through any of our
leadership programs, you will begin to develop the
necessary skills and confidence to be a leader on campus and in your future
career.

Recreation
Whether you are an outdoors person, prefer a health club setting, enjoy
the rigors of competition, or just want to have fun and get to know people,
amazing recreational opportunities and facilities await you at UWSP.
- You can get outside before even arriving on campus by participating
in Pathways to Point, a
wilderness orientation program for incoming freshmen.
- With miles of hiking and biking trails and a 24-acre lake perfect
for fishing, canoeing and row boating, the 275-acre
Schmeekle Nature Reserve
(right on campus!) is a popular recreational destination for our
students.
- The
Cardio Center, conveniently located by the
residence halls in the Allen Recreation Center, offers state-of-the-art
exercise equipment, personal trainers, massage therapy and more to its
student members.
- The Health
Enhancement Center is home to multiple gymnasiums, the
Strength and Fitness Center, the Aquatic Center and a 54,000 square foot
Multi-Activity Center.
- During the academic year, about 30 group fitness classes are offered
each week through the
Group Fitness Program, most of which are completely
free to students.
- You can take classes, go on organized trips, plan your own adventure
weekend and rent all the sports, recreation and camping equipment you'll
need to get out there at
Outdoor Edventures.
- With 25 different sports to choose from, including basketball,
volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, dodgeball, Badminton and hockey, you won't
have any difficulty finding an activity to get your feet moving and your
heart pumping through UWSP
Intramural sports.
