Sylvania Wilderness Fishing and Canoeing - Full
August 17-22, 2008

Senior Trip Leader: John Heusinkveld
"I am bit of an outdoor fanatic,
admittedly, but there's far more to it than just a tug on
the end of the line. The environments we explore in pursuing
our sport not only sustain the fish, they sustain us all,
and we'd be
remiss not to take the time to learn to
appreciate them. Sylvania is a great place for both-a place
where the reward is great, weather a fish is landed or not."
John received his MS from
UWSP, and works as Assistant Director at "Treehaven," the College of Natural
Resources' field station near Tomahawk. There he teaches Water Ecology for UWSP
and is in charge of all educational and outreach programs. He is an avid
fisherman, hunter, canoer, camper, skier, snowshoer, biker, and birdwatcher.
