Major:
Health Promotion

Minor:

Nutrition

Hometown:

Park Falls, WI

Extracurricular/Campus Activities:

I'm involved in the student chapter of the National Wellness Institute.  I love to
work out, play sports (mostly football), go mountain biking, and run when I'm not
studying.

Favorite Place on Campus:
The best place to hang out is the Brewhaus.  It has great food, drinks, and atmosphere.  Not to mention comfortable couches and chairs.  The best place to study is the fifth or sixth floor of the library.  You pretty much have the place to yourself.  Studying outside is pretty great too.

What do you like most about going to UWSP?
There is always something fun to do on campus and off, and our campus is beautiful because of all of the great landscaping.  Also, the faculty is amazing here.  They are easy to talk to, great about giving you one on one help, and they want you to succeed.  It has made my experience here easier and more fulfilling academically.

What do you like most about the Stevens Point community?
I like that it is close to campus and that all of the amenities of the community are easy to get to.  It is also a safe area to live in.

What are your career goals?
I plan to get a job in health promotion so I can help people live long, healthy, enjoyable lives.  After working for a number of years I'd like to move to the Seattle area and open my own gym/fitness center.

How has UW-Stevens Point prepared you for life after graduation?
I have gained many skills here at UWSP.  Public speaking, leadership experience, and a great education are just a few examples.  I have no doubt that when I graduate I'll be fully prepared for the working world.  This campus does a great job of preparing you.

What’s been a favorite experience at UW-Stevens Point?
I have too many favorite memories to list.  They all come from living in the residence halls.  You get to meet so many cool people, and they become some of your closest friends.

What advice would you give to a new UWSP student?
The best advice I can give is to stay ahead in your classes, don't skip class, and get to know your professors.  They have a wealth of knowledge and they are here to help you.  Also, meet as many people as you can, and don't be intimidated.  Just think that there are plenty of kids in your same position, and you are not alone.
