Directions to UWSP

Please Note: There have been several highway/street name changes in and around Stevens Point due to the recent opening of a Hwy 10 bypass.  These changes are reflected in the directions on this page, but they may not appear in directions you receive from other sources like MapQuest or Google.  Please call if you have any questions about this.

Parking for Admissions Guests

Fall Daily Visit guests (September 14 - December 11, 2009) may park free of charge in University Lot R, which is located across from the Dreyfus University Center (building #40 on campus map).  Please do not park in the metered parking spots.  Click here for a map and to get directions to Lot R.

The Admissions Office is located about 1 block east in room 102 of the Student Services Building (building #2 on campus map).  Please plan on checking in 15 minutes prior to the program.  If you did not provide us with your license plate number when you made your visit reservation, we ask that you bring it to the Admissions Office when you arrive on campus so we can call in your vehicle to Parking Services.

Directions From Green Bay and eastern Wisconsin

Take Highway 29 to Wausau, then I-39/ Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point.  Take exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city.  Turn left onto Fremont Street.  The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.

OR Take Highway 41 to Appleton , then Highway 10 west from the Fox River Valley.  Then follow Highway 66 west into Stevens Point.   Turn right onto Fremont Street.  The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about a block north. 

Directions From Madison and southern Wisconsin

Take I-39/Hwy 51 north to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city.  Turn left onto Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.

Directions From the Milwaukee area

Take I-94 west and north to I-39/Hwy 51 above Madison. Take I-39/Hwy 51 north to Stevens Point . Take exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city.  Turn left onto Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.

Directions From Minneapolis/St. Paul and western Wisconsin

Take I-94 east to Hwy 29 east. Follow Highway 29 east to Wausau, and then take I-39/Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city.  Turn left onto Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.

OR Take I-94 east and south to Osseo.  Take Highway 10 east past Junction City and then follow County HH into Stevens Point.  Turn left onto Hwy 66 east.  Turn left onto Fremont Street.  The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.

Directions From Wausau and northern Wisconsin

Take I-39/Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Stanley Street into the city.  Turn left onto Fremont Street. The Admissions Office is located in the Park Student Services Center about 2 blocks south.
