UWSP Baccalaureate Degree: B.S. Clinical Laboratory
Sciences, Medical Technology Option
Purpose:
This articulation agreement provides the opportunity for NTC
students who have earned the A.A.S. for the Clinical Laboratory
Technician major to be awarded the following equivalent credits upon
entry to the UWSP Department of Health Sciences, Clinical Laboratory
Science major, Medical Technology option.

UWSP General Degree Requirements for a Bachelor of Science Degree will need to be completed.
* To earn the chemistry minor, Chemistry 325, 326 and 365 must be taken in place of Chemistry 220 and 260.
Special Considerations:
1. The UWSP required course, Biology 160: Animal Biology (5 credits)
will be waived.
2. NTC courses 10-806-197: Microbiology (4 credits) will be accepted
in lieu of Biology 333: Microbiology (4 credits), and 10-806-177:
Gen Anatomy and Physiology (4 credits) will be accepted in lieu of
Biology 285: Human Physiology, if a grade of C or better has been
earned.
3. Clinical Laboratory Science course credit will be awarded only if
a grade of C or better has been earned at NTC.
4. The acceptance of credits applies only to students who have
successfully passed a national certification through ASCP (certified
as a Medical Laboratory Technician) or NCA (certified as a Clinical
Laboratory Technician).
5. The acceptance of credits applies only to this Program-to-Program
Articulation.
6. For acceptance of equivalent courses, NTC courses must have been
completed within the last 5 years. Beyond this period of time,
course equivalents will be assessed on an individual basis.
7. This agreement is subject to review if either NTC or UWSP
undergoes curriculum revision
OR
within five years of the origination date of this agreement,
whichever occurs earlier.
