We never want finances to be the barrier between you and your education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. We understand the financial concerns of today's college students and are pleased to announce the Return to Wisconsin non-resident tuition discount program.

The Return to Wisconsin discount offers a 25% waiver of non-resident tuition to the daughters, sons and grandchildren of UW-Stevens Point graduates.

What are the specifics on qualifying?​
The Return to Wisconsin program offers a 25% waiver of non-resident tuition for non-resident undergraduate students whose parent or grandparent graduated from UW-Stevens Point. For purposes of this program, parents are defined as biological, adoptive, stepparents, and/or legal guardians. Grandparents are defined to include only biological or adoptive grandparents.

Eligible non-resident students include those who are residents of states other than Wisconsin and Minnesota, as well as residents of U.S. territories and foreign countries.

How is "graduate" defined?
A graduate is defined as any person who has been awarded a baccalaureate, associate or graduate degree from UW-Stevens Point.

Does the Return to Wisconsin discount apply to all costs?
No, it applies only to non-resident tuition. Housing and food costs, segregated fees, and other expenses will be charged at the same rates applicable to all other students.

Do I have to be a full-time student to take advantage of this?
No, the discount is available to any qualifying student enrolled part-time or full-time.

Is the discount renewable?
Yes, as long as you maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in the UWSP catalog. If the Return to Wisconsin program is discontinued at any time in the future, students already enrolled in the program will continue to receive the discount providing they maintain continuous enrollment at UW-Stevens Point.

Does eligibility for the Return to Wisconsin tuition discount help me to gain admission to UW-Stevens Point?
No, you must meet the same academic standards for admission as all other applicants.
