Mission

The mission of Residential Living is to enhance students’ educational and developmental experiences. We ensure safe, well-maintained living environments; promote a wellness lifestyle; and provide outstanding service to our customers.

Values

Our department values:

  • the residential on-campus living experience for students, creating living/learning communities for growth and learning
  • learning and education in support of the academic mission of the University, as well as life-long learning
  • forethought and planning, including knowledge of trends and future projections in the housing field

Goals

  • We will emphasize service to residents in all areas of Residential Living, while also focusing on the responsibilities of our residents to our community.
  • We will work closely with the Enrollment Management group when making up our budget projections for the year.
  • We will study our reserve situation and work with cuts to our budget to make the best decisions possible.
  • We will continue to support the student governance process through our house governments, hall governments, and the Residence Hall Association.
