Goals
Based on the objectives set for 2006-2007, the following
intended outcomes, strategies, assessment procedures and
anticipated changes include:
- Intended Outcome #1: Students will be
provided improved access to information about DS services
and programs via the DS website by 12/31/06;
- Strategy: Revisions to the DS
website will be made with added DS service and program
information; and students will be directed to the
website via an email prompt;
- Assessment: The website will
include a counter, thus establishing a baseline of site
use. An added question to the annual DS student
satisfaction survey will ask if the student accessed the
DS website;
- Anticipated Changes: The student
satisfaction survey item rating students’ familiarity
with accommodations will show that 0% will be “somewhat
familiar†and “not familiarâ€, thus indicating that
students are better informed.
- Intended Outcome #2: A review of all
student files will be completed by 12/31/06;
- Strategy: The DS coordinator and
program assistant will collaboratively review and update
all DS student files (both print and data base files) to
insure complete and current information are in place;
- Assessment: Verification of all
files reviewed will be recorded;
- Anticipated Changes: The computer
data base will be updated so that data collection will
provide easier access for this report and the UW System
report.
- Intended Outcome #3: UWSP Faculty and
staff will be provided improved access to information about
DS services and programs, the laws related to disability and
relative disability issues via the DS website by 12/31/06.
- Strategy: Revisions to the DS
website will be made with added DS service and program
information and disability issues; and faculty will be
directed to the website via Message of the Day;
- Assessment: The website will
include a counter, thus establishing a baseline of site
use. A question relative to the use of the revised
website will be included in a faculty assessment (to be
developed in 2007);
- Anticipated Change: Faculty and
staff will have easier access to DS and disability-
related information.
- Intended Outcome #4: UWSP Faculty and
staff will be provided improved access to information about
