Goals

  • To provide Individual assessment and brief psychotherapy
  • To provide Consultation to the university community
  • To provide On call consultation services regarding mental health concerns
  • To provide and maintain mental health information in a self help library
  • To provide educational workshops to develop skills
  • To reach out to the campus and local community to educate about mental health

Learning Outcomes

  • Completed surveys will reflect that 80% of attendees strongly or mildly agree that they learned new information after attending a Skill for Success presentation.
  • 80% of audited files will reflect that the client's mood has improved while receiving Counseling Center services.
  • Students will report that the problem(s) which brought them to counseling have improved.

Service Outcomes

  • Data base information will reflect a 5% increase in lower GPA students receiving Counseling Center services.
  • 80% of students will receive an initial appointment with a counselor within a one-week period.
  • 80% of students who responded to the satisfaction survey will report that they agree that they have benefited (strongly or mildly) from services provided by their counselor.
  • 80% of students who schedule counseling appointments will report that they strongly or mildly agree to obtaining convenient appointments.
  • Data base will reflect baseline data.
  • 80% of the students who respond to the satisfaction survey will report that they agree that their problems improved with counseling.
