Mission
The mission of the Admissions Office is two-fold:
to recruit a well-qualified, diverse student body by introducing
prospective students to the educational opportunities and
services available at UW-Stevens Point; and to facilitate and
implement all phases of the admission process for undergraduate
and graduate students interested in enrolling at UW-Stevens
Point.

Goals
- General Goals - Continuous
- Meet enrollment targets
- Continue to recruit and enroll a more highly
qualified incoming freshmen class
- Continue to recruit and enroll a diversified student
body
- Identify and implement creative, effective ways to
attract out-of-state students
- Communicate a positive image of UWSP through our
interactions with prospective students, parents,
counselors and teachers
- Collaborate with key departments on campus to
improve services to and recruitment of prospective
students
- Cooperate with and engage in discussions with
department chairs and facilities/grounds managers to
create a positive and appealing climate for presenting
UWSP to visitors
- Review application processing flow to determine and
implement optimum efficiency
- Review opportunities for using technology to better
serve students and attain efficiencies within the office
and the University
- Discuss opportunities for increased support of
minority recruitment
- Seek student input as we evaluate our marketing
materials
- Specific Goals for the Next Year:
- Improve and increase personal communications with
targeted students
- Develop additional assessment tools to obtain
feedback from others and improve our delivery of
services and attainment of goals
- Redesign our Web site with an attractive,
easy-to-negotiate style that better communicates and
promotes what UWSP has to offer
- Produce new Viewbook that communicates educational
opportunities at UWSP
- Complete revision of PowerPoint presentation
- Complete revision of ViewPoints
- Complete staff new of training
