E-Bill Questions:
- Why didn’t I receive a UWSP bill in the mail?
Electronic billing is the official means of generating tuition bills to all University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point students. Paper billing statements no longer exist for enrolled students. You will receive a notice in your University-assigned e-mail account when your UWSP E-Bill is ready to be viewed online. Your online statement will detail the amount due (tuition, fees, housing, and other campus charges) and the payment due date.
Note: Electronic Bills require University-assigned student logon and password to access.
- Who should I call if I have a question on my E-bill?
Please contact the office listed under "source" on your billing statement. If the source is the Student Billing Office, or if you are questioning a payment on your account, please contact the UWSP Student Billing Office at 346-2118, or submit your question via email to:
acctsrec@uwsp.edu
- I just viewed my first E-bill for the new semester. Why is my financial aid not deducted from my balance?
The first E-bill of each new semester will not reflect that semester’s financial aid. Financial aid cannot be applied to your account until the week before the new semester’s classes begin. You may want to view your account detail in myPoint on the Friday before the new semester begins to verify whether your awarded financial aid has applied and to find your new balance due.
-
Where can I
find my Account Detail in myPoint?
- Go to myPoint
- Click on the Finances tab
- Under the myFinances section, click on View Detailed
Account Information and login.
This will bring you to the Account Detail
webpage where you can view your most up-to-date account balance.
You can also view your recent charges and payments and monitor
whether any refunds have been issued.
- Why is there a difference between the balance that shows on my E-bill statement and the balance that shows on my Account Detail in myPoint?
Because new charges or payments may have occurred between your E-bill’s statement date and today’s date, there may be a difference between the balance shown on your E-bill statement and your Account Detail in myPoint. The E-bill statement is a snapshot of your account information on the date that the E-bill was created. Account Detail on myPoint will show you your most current account activity and account balance.
- If I pay the minimum amount due or make a partial payment will I avoid the finance charges?
No. Making a partial payment or simply paying the minimum balance due will not keep you from having finance charges assessed. Any charges that were shown on your E-bill that remain unpaid after that bill’s due date will be assessed finance charges. In general, to avoid finance charges you should always pay off your entire account balance by the due date listed on your E-bill.
- How much are the finance charges?
The FINANCE CHARGE will be calculated at the periodic rate of 1.25 % per month (ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE OF 15%) on that portion of the balance which is $500 or less, and at the periodic rate of 1% per month (ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE OF 12%) on that portion of the balance which is in excess of $500.00.
-
How can it be possible that I owe for a registration deposit if
my Account Detail online says I owe a balance of zero?
A registration deposit is not a charge to your university
account.
It is a deposit towards a future term, so it is not included in
your balance due as shown on Account Detail. You
will need to
pay both your balance and your registration deposit before you
can register.
-
Will my registration deposit be on my E-bill?
No. A registration deposit is a deposit towards a
future term, so it is not included on your E-bill.
It is a separate $100 deposit due before you can register.
If you'd like to verify whether you've already made your
registration deposit for the upcoming semester, you can go to
your Account Detail page and view the section titled
"Enrollment/Registration Deposits Paid To UWSP" to see if your
registration deposit is listed as paid. If it
is not listed as paid, then you will still need to pay the
deposit before you can register.
