9:30 Welcome & Overview
Legacy Room
The
overview will include a brief discussion of what service-learning is and how
we will proceed through the day.

9:30-10:00 Developing Service-Learning Projects
Legacy Room
Michele will discuss basic principles of good practice; community voice,
orientation and training, meaningful action, reflection, and evaluation,
using local examples that have developed as a result of partnerships between
local community partners and UWSP faculty.

10:00-10:30 Panel Presentation
Legacy Room
A panel will discus a variety of local service-learning projects and
their impact.
10-30-10:45 Break
10:45-12:00 Small Group Discussions I
DUC 374, 376, 378
Participants will be divided into three smaller groups, based on information
provided after registration.
These groups will engage in conversations regarding assets and needs in
facilitated sessions.
12:00-1:00 Lunch
DUC Food Court
Participants will be provided a voucher to purchase their lunch at any of
the vendors in the University Center food court.
1:00-1:15 Afternoon Welcome and Overview

A panel will discus a variety of local service-learning projects and
their impact.
1:45-3:15 Small Group Discussions II
DUC 374, 376, 378
Participants will be divided into three smaller groups, based on information
provided after registration.
These groups will engage in conversations regarding how the assets and needs
of participants can be matched to create meaningful service-learning
projects. Participants should
have an outline of a potential project upon completion of this session.
3:15-3:45 End-of-the-Day Reflection & Closing
Remarks
Legacy Room
Participants and facilitators will come together to discuss what was learned
and gained from the day and share project ideas for input, feedback, and
collaboration with other participants.
Participants will also be encouraged to discuss barriers, necessary
supports, and next steps.
