What is the American Democracy Project (ADP)?
The American Democracy Project seeks to bring greater intentionality to
UWSP’s efforts to educate students for their role of citizenship in a democracy.
It includes the assumption that the role of public higher education is to create
citizens who are knowledgeable about social issues and the political process,
who think critically about those matters that are the subject of public policy,
who believe they can have an impact on public policy decisions, and who choose
to be active participants in their communities and beyond.
