About
Professor Riley was born out west. He gave up his dream
to be a professional cowbell player, and he actually rode the
Greyhound out of Lodi and decided to become a college professor.
He's taught at Gozaga, UM-Duluth, and UWSP. Since arriving
at UWSP he's won the university-wide teaching award and also the
Katz Distinguished Professor Award from the College of Letters &
Science. He can often be heard on Wisconsin Public Radio.
He most recently wrote
Bureaucracy and the Policy Process
(Rowman & Littlefield, 2006), co-authored with Bryan
Brophy-Baermann.
Prof. Riley was most recently voted the "Best Professor in
Point" by the UWSP Pointer newspaper.
