Retiree Services
Retirees of UW-Stevens Point interested in computing access should be aware
of the following:
CONTINUATION OF COMPUTING SERVICES UPON RETIREMENT:
UWSP computing services (email, logon, RAS) will be continued for retirees if
their Department Information
Manager (DIM) does not remove the retiree from the Campus Information
System. The DIM must change the "Employee Appointment Type" to "Emeritus"
or "UWSP affiliated" in the Campus Information System. As long as the
person is not removed from that system, their logon, email and RAS access will
be continued.

of Department Information Managers.
RENEWAL OF COMPUTER SERVICES FOR RETIREES:
If a UWSP retiree does not currently have access to UWSP computing resources
(email, logon, RAS), follow these procedures to gain access:
LOGON and EMAIL - The
Department Information Manager for the department from which the person
retired must enter the retiree into the Campus Information System with an
"Employee Appointment Type" of either "Emeritus" or "UWSP affiliated."

detailed instructions.

REMOTE ACCESS SERVICE (RAS):
To begin RAS service, a retiree must first have
a UWSP logon (see
above), then a Work Order
should be entered requesting RAS. (Note: this is a policy change,
Sept 2000 see policy
from University Administration.)
COMMUNITY LOGON:
If a UWSP email account or RAS access is not needed, any
retiree can request a
Community Visitor Logon. This will allow the person to logon to the UWSP
network and get to the Internet from computers on campus including the Public
Computer Labs. This does not require action from the Department
Information Manager. The retiree can request an account from Information
Technology. Click
here for details.
