Mac OS X Wireless Setup

IMPORTANT: You Mac may be set up to cache your password for wireless.  When you change your network password your wireless will still try to connect using your old password, which may result in your account becoming locked.  To make sure this does not happen, follow these instructions to delete your old password off your computer.

  1. Using the AirPort menu, select UWSPWIRELESS.

  2. Once you select UWSPWIRELESS it will prompt you to login.  Enter your login and password information as shown replacing spoin111 with your username.

  3. You may be prompted to accept a security certificate

    If so, click “Show Certificate” and expand “Trust Settings”.  Change the settings to “Always Trust.”

  4. Click continue and you should be connected to the wireless network.  Your AirPort icon should show you as connected:
