Where is the Health Enhancement Center (HEC) located?
The HEC is located at 2050 Fourth Avenue on the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Campus in Stevens Point, WI.

Who can use the facilities located within the Health Enhancement Center?
Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Community members can use all of  the facilities in the HEC. Students, Faculty and Staff can use the  Cardio Center, located in the Allen Center on campus.

Are there lockers and showers?
Yes. The HEC has several locker rooms with showers throughout the  building. Lockers can be used and locked with your own lock. However,  due to limited locker space no locks may be kept on overnight.

What facilities are located within the Health Enhancement Center?
The HEC is home to several UW-SP facilities, they include:

 Strength Fitness Center
  Multi Activity Center
  Climbing Wall
  Aquatic Center
  Quandt Gym
  Berg Gym
  3 Racquetball Courts
Can conference guests use the facilities in the HEC?
Yes. Conference guests can use the Strength Fitness Center by  purchasing a one-day pass for $3.00. They can also use the Cardio  Center, located in the Allen Center on campus by purchasing a one-day  pass for $4.00. The reason for the difference is that the conference  attendees pay a fee to use the HEC building but not the Allen Center.

Can MSTC (Midstate Tech. College) students join?
Yes, they can, if living on campus, MSTC students will pay the student  rate because part of the fees they pay for living on campus support the  fitness centers. If living off campus, then the fee is the Staff fee  and a License to Sweat Card is required and is issued at the Pointcard  office. MSTC students must sign up in person at the front desk and pay  with cash or check.

Can my spouse get a membership?
Yes your spouse or domestic partner can pay the Staff price.  License to Sweat card is required  and is issued at the Pointcard office. Spouse or domestic partners must  sign up in person  at the front desk and pay with cash or check.

What if the facility is not open in the morning when scheduled?
Occasionally our opening person oversleeps! If this happens, you are  welcome to go to the other fitness center (Cardio or Strength) and work  out there with your membership.

What is available to eat or drink?
Both the Cardio and the Strength Center have vending machines with beverages, nutritional bars are sold at the counter.

How can I get a job at the HEC?
Applications can be picked up at the Strength Fitness Desk for  positions in the Strength Fitness Center, Multi Activity Center,  Climbing Wall and Quality Control. The majority of hiring occurs in the  summer months for school year employment.

When do I have to pay for my membership?
For students, your membership will be billed to your student account;  you should see the charge on your next billing statement after you sign  up for your membership. For faculty and staff, your membership will be  billed through payroll deduction. If you are paid monthly, the fees  will be taken out of your first 4 paychecks after you sign up, for  bi-weekly payroll, fees will be taken out of the first 8 paychecks.  Community members must pay for their membership upon signing up with  cash or check.
