Adapted Physical Education
Introduction
Teaching individuals with disabilities is one of the most
rewarding professions a "people person" can engage in. Students are
advised to explore this option by volunteering in Special Olympics,
and/or Special Needs Aquatic Program (SNAP) to work with individuals
with disabilities.
Students who complete the Comprehensive Physical Education major can
choose to complete the Adapted Physical Education 860 Add-on
Certification (12 credits). This option better prepares students
working in schools that have disabled students.
Benefits of UWSP
