Practical experience working with
persons with special needs in education/ community based programs.
Subtitle will designate area. May be repeated for a maximum of 3 cr.

Exceptional Individuals. 2 crPrereq. Con reg in 301, admission to

Intervention strategies in the
psychomotor domain.
PEX 401. Physical Education for
Exceptional Individuals: Practicum. 1 cr.Prereq- Admission to School

Hands-on intervention with handicapped
children in aquatics and motor development.

PEX 398. Student Teaching in Adapted
Physical Education (PEX). 4-16 cr; pass/fail.
Observation and teaching of adapted
physical education under the guidance of cooperating teachers and
university faculty.
PEX 498. Intern Teaching. Variable
cr; pass/fail.
Structured field experiences in approved
school programs. Interns are certified by the DPI and are employed under
contract with schools to design, deliver and assess instructional
programs in grades n-K-12. Prereq: Complete all methods courses and 75%
of content courses in appropriate major. Con reg is appropriate section
of Educ 400 may be required.
