1.      You are expected to attend each class session and participate in the discussion activities. The standard for participation is that of a teacher in a faculty professional development activity.  (25 points) Always check your email on days of risky weather. If there is an announcement about canceling class, I would email each of you by 3 PM on the afternoon of class. If you do not get an email from me by that time, you should assume there will be class that evening.   1. You will design and collect various teaching resources (assessment models, integrated lesson plans, cooperative group activities, etc.) and organize them into an Integrated Learning Portfolio, due the last week of class. The individual pieces will be due at various times in the semester. Many may be done by your content area team, and some will be worked on during class projects time. (150 points)

 

 

 

  1. You will complete a reflective writing on “How I Learn and How That Impacts My Philosophy of Teaching.” Draft one due the second week of classes. (50 points)

 

 

 

 

  1. You will write a critique of the following:

 

·        published teaching materials in your content area

·        a professional journal/publication in your content area  (50 points)

 

 

 

 

  1. You will collect a list of Young Adult and Popular Trade Lit for your content area.  (25 points)
