Consultant in special education.  Provided workshops on curricular adaptations, psychological issues of students with learning disabilities, alternative testing, counseling of students with special needs, transition issues of students with special needs.  Provided consultation services to schools in New Hampshire and to individual teachers, parents, and persons with disabilities.

1988-1990

 

Resource Room Teacher and Case Manager, Monadnock Regional High School, Swanzey New Hampshire.  Duties included the overseeing of 40-50 junior high school students, responsible for the writing and implementation of Individual Education Plans, (IEP) and collaboration with classroom teachers on curricular adaptations.

1987-1988

Faculty Assistant, Special Education, Keene State College.  Presented workshops on adaptations for children with special needs in the classroom.  Developed a curriculum module entitled “The Use of Specialized Areas to Enhance the Development of the Handicapped Child” for the New Hampshire Department of Special Education, to be used for the preparation of teachers of students with special needs.

Graduate Practicum Supervisor, Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire.  Supervised undergraduate college students who were completing a school-based special education practicum.
