Required Masters Program Component Courses

 

Students wishing to incorporate the Technology & Leadership emphasis into a masters degree may do so via the Master of Science in Education-General masters degree administered by the UWSP School of Education.  Students are required to complete 30 graduate level credits within seven years (21 inclusive semesters).  Credits include required component course work in the areas of foundations, curriculum and research and a minimum of 21 additional credits including those credits listed below for Technology & Leadership emphasis. Contact School of Education-Graduate Advising to begin the graduate program admittance process.

The table on the following page lists the courses from which you may elect 21 additional credits.  A minimum of six of those credits must be at the 700 level to meet the program requirements of a minimum of 15 credits at the 700 level.  Refer to the pages listing course descriptions for further details regarding each of the courses listed.  You will note that some courses which include a subtitle allow for the course to be repeated, provided the course is repeated with a different subtitle.

Principles of design and their applications in the preparation and production of desktop publishing of materials in the communication media industries and other areas of interest to participants. (QuarkXPress).

Examination of U.S. laws and regulations relating to freedom of speech and of the press, regulation of advertising, and information gathering and dissemination.
