PROGRAM PLAN UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-STEVENS
POINT
Required Masters Program Component Courses Students
wishing to incorporate Gifted & Talented specialization into a masters
degree may do so via the Master of Science in Education-General masters degree
administered by the UWSP School of Education.
Students are required to complete 30 graduate level credits within seven
years (21 inclusive semesters). Credits
include required component course work in the areas of foundations, curriculum
and research and a minimum of 21 additional credits including those credits
listed below for Gifted & Talented specialization. Contact School of

Gifted/Talented Education. Further

A masters degree is not required for this
specialization; however, those wishing to incorporate this specialization
within a masters degree may do so in Master of Science in Education-General
degree. This outline follows to obtain that.
This masters degree is administered through School of Education-Graduate
Advising. Further
information regarding graduate study may be obtained by contacting School of

interested in a masters degree at UWSP. IMPORTANT -
PLEASE NOTE This program outline is for “specialization only.” This information is a result of your request for information in the area of Gifted/Talented Education. It is possible to incorporate graduate level credits for this specialization into the masters degree (MSE-General degree). However, you must apply for admission to the masters program before completion of nine graduate level credits. No more than nine completed graduate credits at the time of formal admission to graduate study may be applied to the masters degree (97-99 UWSP Graduate Catalog, p. 169). This outline is not the program plan for your masters (graduate) program of study.
