Description:
|
This workshop is patterned after the National
Writing Project Model. This model emphasizes process-oriented teaching of
writing by providing an opportunity for teachers to share writing activities
that work for them, offering short presentations on writing issues common to
all teachers, and requiring teacher t write themselves. Blended
into this experience will be short activities and presentations that suggest
strategies for integrating technology to enhance writing instruction.
Teacher time during each day will be split between listening to presentation
by the instructors and their fellow teachers, preparing their own
presentations, researching an issue of personal importance, and working on
their own piece of writing to share with the group.
