Counseling and intervention programs and techniques for rehabilitating communication skills of children and adults with hearing loss.  Students will be able to choose from a variety of Aural Rehabilitation topic modules such as:

  • Technology (i.e. Hearing Aides, Cochlear Implants, FM Systems, Assistive Listening Devices)

  • Speech Perception

  • Communication Modes (i.e., Cued Speech, Auditory Verbal, Oral, Sign Language)

  • Early Intervention Issues

  • School Issues

  • Issues for Adults with Hearing Loss

  • Hearing Conservation

  • Counseling
